Rare Apollo 15 “Silver XV” Patch

This is a rare Apollo 15  patch "Silver" variant patch. The 'official' Crew Patch for Apollo 15 has always been considered by collectors to be the one made by AB Emblem in which the "XV" is embroidered in silver thread instead of black. This version was only supplied to NASA for use in official presentations ^[1] and to the crew. This crew patch has the "XV" in silver thread in the background. It also has a hallmark between the blue arrow and the "W" of Worden - a black stylized "E" for Italian designer Emilio Pucci who created the Apollo XV emblem.

This patch is in mint condition and has not been removed from it's original plastic package. Please see pictures for accurate condition.
